Florence, Arizona Winter Wedding
I’ve been so lucky to have this sweet couple in front of my camera not once, not twice but THREE times. As their original wedding plans didn’t go quite as expected with a COVID requiring last minute adjustments, Kirsten and Andrew decided to host a smaller event on their original wedding day and carry out the big, beautiful party they had originally planned in December. Selfishly, I couldn’t be happier with this decision because they ended up getting a bonus wedding day and we got to celebrate their marriage all over again. This time around was even a little extra special in a couple ways, but especially that baby Lawson got to be there since Kirsten is pregnant with a little boy!
After getting mostly ready at their hotel the morning of the wedding, Kirsten and her bridesmaids headed over to Windmill Winery’s bridal suite where they applied their hair and makeup’s finishing touches, complete with Kirsten’s raspberry lipstick that was the perfect shade. The mother of the bride, Cheri, helped Kirsten zip up her new white dress and after a couple photos with her entourage, we made our way to the winery’s beautiful lake house. The couple said ‘I Do’ again in front of the vibrant red and pink flowers arranged by Simply Beautiful and sealed this promise with a kiss.
Finally, it was time to throw the incredible party Kirsten and Andrew had been waiting for. To kick things off, guests were greeted during cocktail hour by a beer burro (any animal lover’s favorite southwest tradition) and after a couple drinks, made their way inside the lake house for a delicious meal followed by dancing under the winery’s famous ‘Best Day Ever’ sign.
Kirsten and Andrew are so sweet and make every moment fun, so it’s no surprise that cutting their cake ended up being one of my very favorite parts of the day. Just wait until you see their smiles below and it will all make sense.
After joining the couple and their guests at a light-night bonfire where they laughed, reminisced on stories, smoked cigars, hugged and laughed some more, the night ended with a very special moment. We made our way back to the reception space where Kirsten and Andrew shared the last dance of the night, all alone in the empty venue. They twirled and swayed to their favorite J Boog song and kissed under the twinkling lights, sharing one of the most romantic moments in history. And I couldn’t be happier for them.
Congratulations, Kirsten and Andrew for throwing yet another gorgeous event. This party was exactly what your guests needed to shower you with the love and affection you deserve. I am so happy that your happily ever after begins now.
