Traci & Shane’s Salt River Session

I love a girl who practices what she preaches and as a couples photographer, Traci takes her own advice as she is passionate that you don’t need a special time in your life to have photos taken with your loved ones. Her and Shane have been dating for a year and a half, and while they are not engaged, she wanted photos of the two of them together to hang on her wall and post on her social media. I am all on board, girl, and so honored that you chose me to make it happen.

These two cuties are originally from Florida and moved to Phoenix a year ago so Traci could pursue her photography dreams and Shane had some great opportunities here working at a golf course. Besides photography, Traci’s hobbies include dance and horses, which made it extra special that we saw wild horses during our session. You guys, she was so excited. If you look really closely, you’ll see some of our friends in the background of our first few pictures. Shane, on the other hand, loves to golf (and model for Traci in her styled shoots!). I love that this couple has so many passions in life and are on a pursuit of their dreams together.

Upon meeting them, you can tell that this couple knows what it’s all about: making each other happy. They tease each other in such a loving way just to see the other laugh. By looking at the way they gaze at each other with grins on their faces, you know those smiles aren’t going away anytime soon. Who would have known when they met at a country bar almost two years ago that they would embark on this journey to giving happiness to the other so selflessly.

The stars really lined up to make this session happen in such perfect conditions. In Arizona, summer is monsoon season, and the days leading up to this session were storming like crazy. Earlier in the week, the evenings had been pouring, dust had been blowing, and there was even thunder and lightning, but not on this beautiful night. The clouds covered the sun to keep us cool and we didn’t feel one raindrop.
