Gilbert, Arizona Lush Lawn Wedding
The moment Aaron would see his bride, Delaney, as she walked up the aisle was a moment over a decade in the making. To set the scene, their bridal party had just walked up the aisle, followed by the flower girls and a ring bearer grinning ear to ear, sporting a thumbs up. Guests rose from the beautiful wood benches as the time came to see his bride for the first time that day. The anticipation was at an all-time high, but Delaney was certainly worth the wait. She floated effortlessly toward Aaron in her lace gown, her mom on one arm and her stepdad on the other. When the couple locked eyes, a tear rolled down Aaron’s cheek. This was worth the wait.
The couple had met as kids since Aaron was neighbors with Delaney’s cousin. What started as a friendship naturally developed into a relationship as they talked and hung out more over the years. As the two grew up together, they got to share their big life experiences – proms, college, and even buying their first home.
Then, one evening in La Jolla, Ca, Aaron asked Delaney to marry him. She was so surprised since she thought he would wait until she was done with nursing school, but of course, she said yes to him and his perfect halo ring.
Delaney and Aaron’s Shenandoah Mill wedding was absolute perfection down to the last detail. We started the morning in Delaney’s bridal suite where she got her hair and makeup done alongside her girls, just down the hall from Aaron and his groomsmen. They got ready and headed to the venue separately, making sure to not see each other. Aaron even wore a special tie from La Jolla (the very city the two got engaged a couple of years ago).
As I mentioned above, their ceremony site was gorgeous. Copper and Bloom’s flower arrangements dotted the end of every bench, as well as an arch at the front and back of the aisle. Lights were strung overhead and lanterns marked the very spot the couple would see each other for the first time. They said ‘I do’ surrounded by friends and family, and later recited private vows between the two of them, when they could freely express their hearts.
When the couple returned from their sunset portraits, the party began. Guests cheered as the couple joined them and eventually shared their first dance under the sparkling lights. The drinks were flowing, family and friends were all having a great time and Aaron maaaaay have taken a tiny bit of cake to the face before the night was over. Aaron and Delaney threw a great party where their friends could let loose and enjoy this sweet couple finally tying the knot.
To Delaney and Aaron, congratulations again! I am so happy that your special day finally came to celebrate a love the two of you have shared for so long. One thing is sure after talking with your guests – you are so loved by so many. And it’s so easy to see the love you have for each other. Wishing you all the best as you officially begin the rest of your lives together! XO
