“And happily ever after!” Halei exclaimed again and again. Jena & Grant’s parents and siblings were all huddled around the banks of Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona’s red rocks making the perfect backdrop to the couple’s intimate elopement. Grant’s daughter Halei couldn’t be more excited to see the two marry.

During the ceremony, Jena shared her vows to her now-daughter with some special promises and a symbolic necklace. The ceremony showed off the heart of Sedona and the nature that’s so important to Jena and Grant as they held hands, surrounded by tall trees and red rocks. When talking about their venue, Jena told me that Sedona has been a special spot to them over the years. “We have spent a few birthdays celebrating and enjoying the red rocks. It’s such a peaceful place for us to escape to. The venue itself was just so welcoming and the ceremony site really spoke to us.” Without a doubt, Amara resort is the perfect place to elope with Sedona as the backdrop.

And while the physical guest list was limited to immediate family, the couple did a great job sharing the day with their virtual guests and making them feel included, even Jena’s grandmother did a reading from the East Coast.

Instead of a traditional reception, Jena and Grant opted for a quiet moment to celebrate with their families over a delicious meal. The dining room had sweeping views of the resort lawn and the shelves dawned photographs from their parents’ and grandparents’ weddings to represent the strong foundations and examples in all of them.
