Rustic Florence Arizona Barn Wedding
Earlier this year, I got to meet Jill & Matthew at one of their favorite breweries in Flagstaff for their engagement session (click here to see), so I already knew this duo knew how to have fun, but I didn’t anticipate just how much fun their wedding day at Windmill Winery would be. Their focus was truly on everyone enjoying themselves. When I asked them what they were looking forward to most on their wedding day, they said, “The party!! Having all of our loved ones together for the best night of our lives!”
It’s safe to say they did just that and managed to incorporate so many of their favorite things into the details, including their favorite flowers, colors, and their favorite drink: Whiskey.
Their first date was axe throwing then to a brewery so they incorporated wooden rings and growlers in their centerpieces. Jill described the cute concept when she said “We are avid whiskey lovers so each table will be identified by a different whiskey bottle. Guests will find their seats based on which whiskey bottle is on the table.”
During their ceremony, they also did a whiskey pouring, creating a concoction that can never be separated but added to when it starts to run low (just like their new marriage!).
Throughout the day, there were many touching moments, but my top three include Jill’s first looks. First, she did a first look with her bridesmaids who cried happy tears with her and hyped her up! Then, she met Matthew for the big reveal. He was clearly in awe and so excited to see Jill for the first time on their wedding day. After that momentous reveal, Jill finally got to show her dad how stunning she looked in her dress. Cue instant tears from all who watched on. All three were truly special moments.
Windmill Winery was the perfect backdrop for the rest of the day. A beer burro greeted guests during cocktail hour in the lush green outdoor area, then guests were ushered into the rustic barn for the rest of the evening’s festivities. Jill and Matthew hoped guests would be just as wowed as they were with the rustic barn and string lights, which is what sold them on the venue. Guests were amazed and so excited to dance the night away with the newlyweds.
Jill and Matthew, thank you again for having me join you on such a special day. It’s been a blast spending time with you both over the past year and becoming fast friends, but it was especially amazing getting to celebrate the two of you and your new marriage. Congratulations again!
