Pinetop Wedding at Lazy Oaks Resort
The metal boat gently rocked on the water as Alyssa and Tanner leaned into one another. The big trees shaded the lake and Alyssa looked over her shoulder, right into Tanner’s eyes. This was him, the man she had just married and this was the beginning of their forever.
Moments earlier they had whispered their vows and said ‘I Do’ in front of a gorgeous sunflower cross. Moments earlier they had slid rings onto each other’s finger, signifying their commitment. Moments earlier the couple kissed and their guests cheered as they strutted back up the aisle. And now, they were here in a boat, forehead to forehead, closing their eyes, and dreaming of forever.
As I reflect on Alyssa and Tanner’s wedding day, happy memories start flooding to the front of my mind. I think of chocolate-covered strawberries, line dancing under the stars, and of course, the couple’s radiant personalities. From the moment I arrived, Alyssa’s glowing smile never left her face. She presented me with a gorgeous lace dress and the perfect cowgirl boots fit for a bride, giving me the tools I needed for epic detail shots.
Once the girls were all ready, Alyssa shared a special first look with her dad, who she is truly close with. Once we could wipe all the tears away from that special moment, we made our way to Pinetop’s most gorgeous ceremony location. I hinted at this earlier, but it is no surprise that their ceremony was perfect. Alyssa’s bridesmaids were thrilled for her and Tanner’s groomsmen came to party.
After the family portraits and some fun with the bridal party, it was finally time for my favorite part of the day – time for some bride and groom portraits. As the sun started to sink over the resort, champagne was poured and the party began. We heard speeches from their nearest and dearest that shared what a unique, special love this duo has. It is quite clear how loved they are by all who came out to support them. Their friends danced the night away in celebration and ended the event with an epic sparkler exit.
Alyssa and Tanner, I can’t imagine a more perfect day or a day filled with more love than the one you shared. It was an absolute pleasure to be a tiny piece of your day – I can’t wait to see what comes next for the two of you!
