Papago Park Spring Engagement Session
Emily and Jarod’s love story started at Arizona State University, where they both played kickball intramurals. Despite Jarod’s initial attraction to Emily, she was seeing someone at the time and that was the end of it. Time passed and their paths crossed again while they were both single and they hit it off.
Throughout their years of dating, the couple shared a love for the 4th of July festival in Emily’s small town outside of Chicago. It’s a 5-day celebration that brought old friends back to town, and they always enjoyed going together. Jarod was planning to propose to her during the festival, with the help of their closest friends.
The plan was to propose while taking pictures at a pre-party in the backyard, but the surprise had been spoiled. Despite this, Emily was still excited and decided this gave her time to get cute and get her nails done. They both have a great sense of humor, and the unexpected turn of events just added to the fun and excitement of the moment.
Finally, the moment arrived, and Jarod got down on one knee and asked Emily to be his wife. Of course, she said yes!
Emily & Jarod, congratulations on your engagement! I love the small twists and turns that brought the two of you together and I can’t wait for your wedding next year!
