North Scottsdale Micro Wedding
COVID had nothing on Sarah & Kyle’s incredible day. We mixed things up a little bit to make it happen, but when the new plans include a ceremony overlooking miles of North Scottsdale’s unobstructed desert, a visit from the neighborhood javelinas, and a first dance to my favorite song (under the twinkling lights, of course), it’s safe to say the day was a hit.
All of Sarah & Kyle’s original dreams for a wedding in Northern Arizona will still be coming true next year and to say I’m excited is an understatement. That’s right, 2 beautiful weddings for them!
The bride and groom handled every change with such grace. Sarah even had a little secret up her sleeve going into the day: neither her dad nor her groom knew she would be wearing her real wedding dress. They both thought she was saving it for next year, which made for two awesome reactions. Before the ceremony, she shared a first look with her dad, whose smile beamed from ear to ear.
Kyle was equally surprised when she started walking down the aisle towards him. The song she walked to was from Forest Gump – the first movie they had watched together. Afterward, Sarah asked Kyle if he noticed which song she walked out to, but Kyle honestly responded that once he saw her, he didn’t notice anything else.
Their vows were filled with ‘awe’s and happy giggles from Sarah as bunnies ran around behind them. The day was shared with their 6-year-old dog, Duke, who Sarah vowed to love like her own.
And just in case I left you hanging earlier, their first dance was to ‘Die A Happy Man’, the same song my husband and I shared our dance to. Now, this song always makes me think of him and I can’t think of a sweeter couple to share that memory with.
This intimate ‘bonus wedding’ was so special and I left feeling a part of the family. I can’t wait for celebration number two next year. P.S. If you want to fall even more in love with this couple, click here to read all about how they met.
