Mogollon Rim Wedding

Jun 8, 2021

Delmonte stepped to the cabin’s window – looking out over the lush, green pines – and dabbed his eyes. He couldn’t control the tears after seeing his bride Alex all dressed up in her wedding dress for the first time. Their first look had been emotional. He was overwhelmed with her beauty, her sleek, elegant dress, her beaming smile and couldn’t hold back his gratitude for the beautiful woman he was about to marry. They shared their own personal vows during this time, and it’s safe to say we were all dabbing back the tears at their genuine reactions.

From this moment on, the whole day was filled with this excited gratitude. Over 170 guests drove nearly 3 hours to be a part of the celebration at Legacy Ranch. It’s a testament to the love anyone who knows this couple has for them. Before the wedding, Alex had told me this was one of the most important parts for her. She said, “I’m excited to spend time with our friends and family and really experience the love they have for us. This last year [2020] has been hard so it will be nice to be together again.”

The couple picked Heber, Arizona for the beautiful forest and views of the rim, of course, but also because it’s where they feel the most grounded. It’s a key part of both of their stories and they love the peacefulness and quiet they experience there. They said Northern Arizona doesn’t get enough hype and I think they succeeded in wowing their guests with the venue and views.

The details Alex chose for the day also reflected their homage to the rural outdoors. Her bouquet was natural and made with wildflowers. This was selected as a symbol for their lives “as we are not perfect and always together”. Her colors were also very organic, with a pop of mauve to contrast the greens of the environment. They succeeded in showing off the beauty of nature as well as the beauty of their relationship.

Alex and Del, it’s rare to see a love this strong, two hearts always on their sleeves, and a passion for making the other happy. I am so excited to see your relationship continue to flourish and grow. Congratulations once again!
