Mesa Mountain Engagements
Kat and Cory met during their senior year of high school. They had an anatomy class together and both did discus on the track and field team. Kat was recovering from an ACL injury and asked Cory for some tips to help her improve more quickly. Cory agreed and invited her to participate in the Track and Field Club. Kat later found out this was a club Cory invented on the spot, just as a way the two of them could hang out.
Kat went on to study at Northern Arizona, while Cory stayed at Arizona State, both studying Kinesiology. Then Kat moved to Denver to finish up her PT degree. It was on one of Cory’s trips to visit her in Colorado that he proposed. The pair hiked Flat Iron in the winter and Cory proposed to her in the middle of the forest.
A few months later, we got to do their engagement photos on one of her trips back to Arizona. Ironically enough, we did them at a location with views of Arizona’s Flat Iron hike.
Kat and Cory, it was so much fun getting to know you while exploring the desert with you. I am so excited to see your wedding day vision come to life later this year. In the meantime, I’m loving reviewing the photographs from your engagement session!
