Mesa, Arizona Engagement Photos

When two people are meant to be, it is incredible to see how their paths (even if they may be a little windy) eventually end up coming together. This story is over a decade in the making, but (spoiler alert!) Brittany and Sam FINALLY end up together!

I can only imagine what 12-year-old Brittany would have thought had she known that her best friend in French class would one day be her husband. Can you say ‘J’adore’?! (Hopefully Google translated that correctly)!!

When these two reconnected after high school, they already knew each other. As they told me, they had always been friends, so there was no need for the “bonding phase”, they could just start dating. Fast forward 7 years and Sam was ready to finally turn that friendship that started in a jr. high French class into a lifetime together.

In March, they decided to go to Disneyland as a family. Despite having been dating for a while, Brittany wasn’t suspecting a thing on this family trip. They entered the park before everyone else with their Miracle Morning passes in hand, and she started making a B-line for Space Mountain (can we all agree this ride is the best??). Instead of joining her, everyone else wanted to stop in the front of the park for a photo before it got packed. You know the spot – the statue with Mickey shaking Walt Disney’s hand.

In full disclosure, Brittany admitted she was a little frustrated that they were wasting precious time before everyone else arrived, but when Sam got down on one knee in the most magical place on Earth, all was forgotten as they were surrounded by just family. I don’t know what Sam said or promised, but it must have been pretty dang sweet considering everyone was crying! As they recalled this moment, they shared that even their sweet daughter, Evelyn, shed a tear or two.

If there is anything that makes Disney lines fly by, I’m sure having a brand new, sparkly engagement ring on your finger aught to do the trick (and you’ve gotta check out this blue beauty). Now, I will always think of these two every time I see that statue. It’s a good thing there’s not a sweeter couple out there to think of!
