Las Sendas Golf Club Pastel Wedding Day
Another chapter of Grace and Elliot’s story was written a couple of weeks ago at Las Sendas Golf Club when the two former camp counselors became husband and wife. If you haven’t read the first part of their story yet, click here, then come back. Knowing their story makes the next part so much sweeter.
Early on in the day, the couple decided to share a first look that I will not soon forget. I’ll even go out on a limb here and say this was my favorite first look to date. Elliott wasn’t able to hold back the tears all morning leading up to the moment he saw Grace for the first time, but when it actually happened, tears came to his eyes by simply looking at her from that moment on. As a bride, this is the reaction you’ve always dreamed of from your husband-to-be and it was so genuine.
A couple of hours later, the time finally came for the two to be married and Elliott’s father actually got to marry them. It was a unique perspective as he is a pastor so, of course, he performed a religious ceremony, but as Elliott’s father, he had also witnessed the journey the two had been on together first hand and got to share it with their doting guests.
A part of their story I had already fallen in love with was retold with elements I had not gotten to hear yet. He said when Elliott came home from the summer camp, he ran inside to take a shower. His parents started washing his clothes (because a week at camp required immediate laundry attention). He soon ran back in the room, told them that he had met a girl and didn’t have much time with her, before running out the door to see Grace again.
Then, on their wedding day, Elliott’s dad thoughtfully said: “He thought they didn’t have much time, Now they have the rest of their lives together.” Boom. Did you just get the chills too?
The rest of the evening was spent celebrating Arizona’s newest husband and wife. They had slideshows playing on every wall of their lives from little kids all the way up until their wedding day. And I don’t think there was a moment all evening that the smiles left their faces.
Grace and Elliott, no one deserved this beautiful day more than the two of you. Every moment felt true to the people you are and it was amazing to see two such incredible people become one powerful marriage. You are both so clearly loved and I’m thrilled to watch the next chapter unfold for you.
