How To Propose With A Puppy

By this point, it should come as no surprise that puppies have my whole heart, so it just makes sense that I think they make the sweetest addition to any proposal story. Multiply that puppy by 3 and I think I would say ‘yes!’ to marrying just about anyone.

This sweet couple, Leanne and Mitchell, have 3 dogs: a pit-lab mix, a German Shepherd, and a Shitzu mix. Together, these 3 fur babies make the recipe for a perfect proposal. When it came time for Mitchell to propose, he added a brand new name tag to each dog’s collar. The first said ‘will you’, followed by ‘marry’ and ‘me?’. Mitchell called them in the room and when Leanne saw them sporting their new name tags, she, of course, said yes!

I can’t think of a better way for these two to start their journey to married life than that sweet proposal, followed by their elegant engagement session. Seriously, Leanne showed up to our session, in the cutest dress with her hair and makeup done flawlessly by the incredible Danika Christine.

They are so natural and comfortable in front of the camera, their engagement session made me even MORE excited for their fall wedding (I didn’t even know that was possible)! They will be having a Day of The Dead themed celebration to honor their grandparents and family members who have passed. It is so selfless of these two to prioritize including their entire family on their special day, which will make it even more meaningful. I can’t wait to see them bring this colorful, beautiful vision they are dreaming up to life!
