Golden Hour Sunset Engagement Photos

After high school, Liz’s best friend met Calvin’s best friend and got married. The couple decided to introduce their mutual friends, and at first, Liz and Calvin weren’t interested in meeting. Eventually, they hung out together with their friends, and over time, they got to know one another and started dating on their own. I even got to meet the friends who brought this legendary couple together when they came to take care of Liz and Calvin’s dog, Hermes, in between photos.

Once L&C started dating and fell in love, Calvin knew it was time to propose. Liz had dropped some hints of ideas she liked and Calvin proposed 2/22/22 on the beach at Sunset Cliffs in California. He planned a picnic on the sand for the two of them to enjoy a romantic afternoon. Of course, Liz said yes!

Because Liz and Calvin love hiking and exploring the Superstition Mountains, they knew this was where they wanted to have their engagement photos done. We found the perfect spot (and Liz even did a little hiking in high heels) to document such a special time in their relationship.
