Golden Florence, AZ Engagement Session
When Johnnie and Tommy initially met at Lake Roosevelt with some friends, she was living in the city and he was living in Coolidge, but she eventually moved back Southeast where she was working at the bank. Tommy came in one day and realized she was working there – he became a regular, going into the bank even when he didn’t need to. He did this for about four months before he finally asked Johnnie out.
They started dating and quickly fell in love with one another. Tommy knew Johnnie was who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and recruited her sister for some help with the ring. The ring was burning a hole in his pocket for a week and a half with plans for a grand proposal, but he couldn’t wait any longer. As they were standing in the kitchen, Tommy started telling Johnnie how much she meant to him and how happy she made him. They have these heart to hearts frequently, so she was enjoying the conversation, but didn’t think anything of it. As she finished up her cookie and was about to scoop the crumbs into her mouth, Tommy completely surprised her with his proposal. She said yes!
They decided to take their engagement photos on a mountain at Johnnie’s family ranch. It was the perfect place with golden views and so fun to shoot at a location with so much meaning to them. Tommy even got to show us his rock-climbing Jeep skills!
Johnnie and Tommy, I had so much fun capturing this sweet season of your lives. It was so fun to learn more about you guys (and how much we have in common). Thank you for sharing these memories – I can’t wait to see you guys again soon for your wedding day!
