Golden Desert Engagements

When Angela first got to Western Illinois for college, she became friends with another student from her high school named Erick, who had graduated a year earlier. Since not many students from her school went to WI, her and Erick became fast friends. Meanwhile, Rob had met Erick the year earlier, making Angela and Rob acquaintances, who were not interested in each other at the time. Fast forward to when Angela was doing her student teaching, she came back to visit Western Illinois and Erick and Rob happened to be visiting that same weekend. Angela and Rob reconnected and she later sent him a message on Facebook and asked him to be her plus one to the wedding of one of her brother’s friends. From then on, they talked non-stop.

On their 5 year anniversary, they celebrated in Nashville. Rob told Angela they had dinner reservations, but first he wanted to go see the football field. When they got there the fan’s shop was closed, but Rob already knew this. He wasn’t there to see the football field (it was just a believable cover story he had to use to get her here). He led her over to a bridge where their families were waiting and proposed – with a hidden photographer and all.

I’m so excited to photograph this special wedding in 2022! It’s gong to be so fun to hang out with this sweet couple all day and celebrate them!
