Elegant Villa Wedding in Gilbert, Arizona

When Megan and Zach first walked through their wedding venue, they were told that one date had recently become available – and it happened to be a date very significant to them. They toured Villa Siena with their coordinator, Jenna, and it didn’t take them very long to say yes to the venue and to getting married on Megan’s mom’s birthday. Along with the date, Megan honored her mom in many ways throughout the day, including a special chair reserved for her and memorial charms on all of the bouquets.

Megan and Zach’s wedding day is unique in that we got to start the day with hair and makeup in the bride’s beautiful salon in Gilbert, just down the road from their venue. We met here for detail shots and behind the scenes of the girls getting their hair and makeup done in their matching monogrammed pajamas.

Once the girls were all ready, we headed to Villa Siena for Megan to get into her dress and meet up with her soon-to-be husband for a “first touch” before beginning the rest of their lives together. A first touch is similar to a first look, where you get to hold hands and say a few things to each other before the ceremony, but still maintain the tradition of the groom not seeing the bride. Megan and Zach squeezed each other’s hands, as they faced away from each other. They shared a private moment where they read the vows they had written to one another to keep a little bit of intimacy in their busy day. Happy, excited tears were shed and they found themselves not wanting to leave each other’s side.

When they finally got to see each other as Megan walked up the aisle with her dad, Zach’s face said it all… he was in awe. Megan was an absolutely stunning bride with a giant smile on her face all day. It was so fun to take their portraits because they were laughing and having fun together all evening.

The reception was the perfect combination of elegance and celebration. The room showed off a timeless black and white color scheme with custom advice and date night cards at each seat for guests to fill out as they waited for dinner. Megan & Zach’s grand entrance blew everyone away, followed by their first dance. After their favorite Italian dinner, Salernos, guests had a great time dancing and celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Make sure to check them out cutting the cake… it’s my favorite.

Megan and Zach, thank you for sharing your happiness with me. It was such a pleasure to document this special day and see all the hard work you put into every last perfect detail. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Royal!!
