Destination Wedding Kierland Scottsdale
There is something truly magical about an Arizona destination wedding, especially when the couple and their loved ones travel all the way from Washington to celebrate. The Westin Kierland always spoils us with the incredible backdrops its venue offers, but Colleen and Zach’s beautiful celebration took things to a whole new level.
From the moment I arrived, the energy was electric. Colleen and Zach are the kind of couple who are just pure fun to be around, and their joy set the tone for the entire day.
The day began with capturing the quiet, exciting moments of getting ready. Colleen’s timeless look paired beautifully with their classic black-and-white color scheme, a choice that perfectly complemented the resort’s upscale, modern aesthetic.
Once everyone was dressed and ready, it was time for Colleen and Zach’s first look. We found a quiet, private spot on the property, and the moment Zach turned around, their smiles said it all. It was incredibly beautiful and intimate. We then spent some time exploring the grounds, capturing stunning portraits against the lush greenery and bright flowers.
Before the ceremony, Colleen also shared a deeply emotional first look with her dad and her four brothers. It was a beautiful testament to how tight-knit their family is.
The ceremony took place on the spectacular Sky Terrace, which offers sweeping, panoramic views of the pristine golf course. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for their out-of-town guests to soak up the Arizona sunshine.
Colleen and Zach exchanged heartfelt vows, slipped on their rings, and sealed the deal with a flawless dip at the end of the aisle! As soon as they were officially husband and wife, the newlyweds joined their guests for cocktail hour, champagne in hand, ready to get the party started.
Colleen and Zach kicked off the party with a grand entrance featuring a CO2 smoke machine that absolutely wowed the room, followed immediately by a beautiful, romantic first dance. After a delicious dinner, the dance floor opened up, and it didn’t empty for the rest of the night. It was an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, incredible music, and a room full of their closest friends and family who traveled so far to celebrate them.
