Camelback Mountain Proposal
Amir had the ultimate wing-woman set him up with Kelly – his grandmother. Kelly works at a school as a teacher and Amir’s grandma worked in the classroom next door. The two of them became close friends as they worked together and one day grandma decided to ask Kelly if she was dating anyone because she thought her grandson Amir would be the perfect match. Amir texted Kelly 2 weeks later on her birthday wishing her a happy day and they decided to meet a week later at the Rokerij and hit it off.
Amir proposed almost exactly 7 years later (the day before her birthday) with a ring with seven stones to represent the 7 years they had spent together. He wanted to keep the proposal a secret, so even though he had been planning for months, he waited until a few days before to put his plan into action. Amir secretly called all their friends to meet at El Chorro, where he had Kelly looking for the praying monk on Camelback mountain. All their closest friends and family sneakily circled behind her and began to cheer as Amir got down on one knee. Kelly said yes and was so excited and surprised.
Kelly and Amir, you have a special place in my heart since we’ve been working together for so long to get the two of you married. I can’t wait to see your dream day come together and see everyone party hard enough to make up for all the Covid delays. Let’s get you married NEXT MONTH!!
