Blush Garden Wedding
Two years of planning and this beautiful blush garden party was well worth the wait. With the incredible team of planners at Your Jubilee by their side, Liz and Josh created the wedding day that would blow all other wedding days out of the water at the one and only Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
I think Liz’s sister said it best as she stood next to the head table with all eyes on her. The guests were just finishing dinner as she was lit up by the glow of flickering candles, clutching the microphone. Holding back tears she said “ I always hoped Liz would find the other half perfect for her.” She took a breath, and her voice trembled as she continued “I can say without a doubt, that it is Josh”.
I couldn’t agree more. From the first time I sat down with this couple, I could tell how fiercely loyal they were to one another. They completed the other in every single way and when Liz wanted a big wedding, complete with a beer burro (her favorite wish-list item), Josh made her dreams come true.
When I walked into the bridal suite on the morning of their wedding, I was met by the most gorgeous box of details – invitations, perfume, shoes, rings, and velvet boxes. I couldn’t wait to start capturing these details, but then I caught a glimpse of a big, perfect white dress in the corner of my eye. From the second I laid my eyes on this beauty, it was love at first sight! I took it to the iconic ceremony doors for a few pictures, then rushed back to the suite to hear the story behind it – every wedding dress has a story, and this one is so sweet. Liz told me that her mom was actually the one who picked it out. She said that when her mom saw her come out of the boutique’s dressing room in this dress, she immediately started crying. Liz knows that her mom knows her even better than she knew herself, and when the tears started rolling, that would be the dress she took home.
After a first look that brought tears to everyone’s eyes, signing their Ketubah, and a ceremony in front of the most gorgeous floral chuppah, it was time to celebrate with their friends and family. It is easy to see why their guests had flown in from all over the world to see the Maryland natives get married in the desert. Not only was their day beautiful, but it was FUN. Liz and Josh’s DJ played some games with the guests, easily breaking the ice, and when the dance floor opened up, it wasn’t empty until the venue closed that night.
Liz and Josh, I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again, congratulations on your beautiful day. It was such an honor to watch the two of you become husband and wife. You really do complete each other perfectly, and I can’t wait to see all the incredible photos from your ‘Around The World In 80 Days’ themed honeymoon. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing!
