Beautiful Lakeside Wedding in Florence, AZ

Oct 27, 2020

The French doors swung open and guests erupted with applause as Mr. and Mrs. Fullmer entered their reception hall, arm in arm, waving like the prince and princess they are. Twinkling lights were strung on the ceiling from chandelier to chandelier and they were greeted with the romantic smell of fresh roses and eucalyptus.

Allie and Wes walked straight to their head table, where she handed off her bouquet, took her new husband’s hand, and joined him on the dance floor to share another first – their first dance as husband and wife. They beautifully circled the dance floor as if floating on the air, shared a couple of kisses and they looked into each other’s eyes excited that this would begin a new chapter in their forever story.

The space was decorated around them with custom signs and in the corner was the dessert table of all dessert tables. A beautiful two-layer cake and gourmet his & her donuts (English Gentleman and Red Velvet) would later be joined by a gelato cart to make the sweetest trifecta in wedding history.

Of course, the fun was just beginning as their reception kicked off. The party would later include yard games, corn hole and even a late-night bonfire with s’mores. But I didn’t expect anything less to follow the already incredible afternoon they had put together.

When I had first arrived earlier in the afternoon, I joined Allie and her bridesmaids in their suite at Windmill Winery where the girls sipped champagne and finished getting ready for the day. When I saw Allie all ready in her champagne dress, the most perfect hairpiece and Badgley Mischka heels that may actually be worth dying for, I knew this day was going to be special. Those feelings were only confirmed when Wes saw Allie for the first time and I found myself secretly wiping the tears forming in my eyes behind the camera.

Details continued to surprise and delight guests throughout the day. The couple’s sweet golden doodle, Jax, made the cutest greeter as guests sat for the ceremony. This was an especially meaningful part of the day for Allie and Wes who anticipated having all their friends and family together for months since they had to postpone their original date (thanks, COVID). Allie shared, ”The thing we’re most excited about is having all of our friends and family together. Of course getting to marry my best friend is the best part, but having everyone from both sides come together to support us means the absolute world. Especially having most of my family coming from out of state and the way of the world now a days, it’s means so much to us the lengths that they took to share in our special day.”

Needless to say, the entire day was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Allie and Wes modeled for some of my favorite portraits of all time and I have been giddy about their gallery since (special shoutout to Allie’s veil in assisting some stunning shots).

Allie & Wes, by this point it’s no secret that I’m crazy about you guys. You seem to effortlessly be able to make everyone around you feel welcome and comfortable. It’s safe to say all who joined you on your special day had a great time celebrating you. Thank you again for allowing me to tell one of your sweetest stories.
