Beautiful Chauncey Ranch Engagement Session With Horses
It’s not every day that you get to incorporate horses into your engagement session, but after hearing Madison and Tyler’s story and what a big part horses play in their lives, we knew we had to include them in a special engagement session.
When Madison and Tyler hopped on the phone with me, the first thing I learned about them was their passion for horses. They were actually in the car, driving back from looking at a property for all their animals in Northern Arizona. Minutes in, I got to hear all about the riding lessons Madison teaches and the sweet pups they foster. That was it, all these sweet family members had to join us. So, we headed up North – horses, dogs, and hair and makeup team in tow – to the beautiful Chauncey Ranch where some magic happened.
Including models that don’t quite understand posing the same way humans do isn’t easy, but with a little bit of trial and error, the horses look like were born for the camera, right?
I met Tyler at a wedding I photographed last year at Lazy Oaks Resort in The White Mountains. He was a groomsman in the wedding and had just started dating Madison.
Tyler had been roommates with her best friend, so Madison would look for excuses to come see him. She kept trying to coax him to come out with her girlfriends and eventually talked him into going to Vegas together as friends. They went ax throwing and walked miles on the strip (my favorite thing to do, too) and just 24 hours into their trip, Tyler told Madison that he liked her.
When they got back to Arizona, Tyler asked her on an official date a week later and fast forward 8 months, he proposed.
Madison did an incredible job coordinating their engagement session, I just know something amazing is coming this fall. I’m looking forward to seeing this incredibly fun couple again for their beautiful wedding day!
