Beachfront Del Mar Proposal

There is nothing more romantic than the soothing sound of waves crashing, moving water in and out and brushing foam across the shore. This particular weekend, Kirsten and Andrew were on a getaway in Del Mar, California and planned to soak in as much relaxation as they could.

The iconic Del Mar mountains were in the distance as the two soaked in each other’s company. Andrew had reminded her on their way over that the ring they picked out together would be ready soon, so she had something to look forward to when they headed back to Arizona. Being here on the beach, though, I’m sure Kirsten was thinking this would be the perfect moment for a proposal…

And it was! Andrew got down, one knee in the sand, and asked Kirsten to marry him (WITH the very ring they had picked!). What was going on? The jeweler himself had told her the ring wouldn’t be ready for a little while longer so she hadn’t been expecting a thing. Andrew had gotten the ring a little early for a romantic ocean-side surprise and, of course, Kirsten said yes!

Getting to know this sweet couple has been such an absolute joy. Happiness radiates from both of them every time I see them. During their engagement session, they effortlessly made each other smile and laugh the whole time, creating some of my favorite moments from the session. I can’t imagine a more genuine couple to be cheering on or a more exciting wedding day to be awaiting!
