An Albuquerque Love Story

Of course the story of every proposal is so different and special, but I feel like I really connected with Chelsea and Ryan after hearing theirs because it is so similar to mine!

The couple met through a mutual friend while both attending the University of Arizona. After she graduated, Chelsea got a job doing project management in New Mexico and Ryan followed her to Albuquerque where they have been living for three years. They started building a life there and loved going on one particular hike together. It kind of became ‘their’ hike and one day at the top, Ryan popped the question Chelsea had been waiting for – Will you marry me?

Chelsea was completely shocked by his proposal in the very best way. Because it is a popular hike, she was surprised that there was no one around besides them, so their only picture is a selfie they took together. She told me that she was sweaty but so happy.

Ryan had designed the ring all by himself and it is stunning with one of the clearest diamonds I have ever seen. I am so happy they decided to come over to Phoenix and show it off to me in person during their engagement session. Watching this couple spin and dance together in the desert was so exciting and the pair is truly a joy to be around. I can’t wait for their big day at Villa Siena coming soon!
