A Colorful Barn Wedding in East Mesa, Arizona

Apr 2, 2024

In the shadow of the majestic Superstition Mountains, Chelsea and David embarked on the next chapter of their love story, surrounded by family, friends, and a few personal touches that made their wedding day uniquely theirs.

For David, anticipation bubbled as he awaited the first glimpse of Chelsea in her dress, a moment he had dreamed of since they began planning their special day. “We are excited to have our families come together to celebrate us getting married,” David shared, “Excited after being together for 10 years to make it ‘official’.”

Choosing the venue was an easy decision for the couple. With a shared love for the rugged beauty of the Superstition Mountains, it was only fitting that they exchange vows with a backdrop that held a special place in their hearts. The rustic charm of the barn, overlooking the sprawling views of the mountains, provided the perfect ambiance for their celebration.

Adding a personal touch, Chelsea and David crafted their own beer with the helping hands of David’s dad and brother. As they did a unity pour during the ceremony, their officiant reminisced about the first time the couple met at Postino’s in Downtown Gilbert, where they shared local beer together. Their unity pour was a beautiful nod to their meeting and first date.

The elegant, rustic theme was brought to life with the timeless beauty of calla lilies and roses, adding an air of romance to the rustic setting. Burgundy, Chelsea’s signature color, lent a post-Valentine’s Day vibe, tying in perfectly with the romantic atmosphere.

Guests were treated to signature cocktails named after their beloved dog, Ginger. Dinner was a delightful fusion of tradition and personal preference, featuring beef tenderloin and chicken sour cream enchiladas—a nod to their shared love for Mexican cuisine.

Throughout the day, meaningful details reflected their journey together. From the 1001 Japanese paper cranes symbolizing longevity and prosperity, to incorporating their fur baby, Ginger, into the festivities, every element was thoughtfully chosen to reflect their love story.

As the evening drew to a close, Chelsea and David took to the dance floor, not only to share their first dance as newlyweds but also to showcase a Japanese Traditional Dance, honoring Chelsea’s heritage and adding another layer of significance to their special day.

Chelsea and David’s wedding was a testament to their love, filled with personal touches that made it a day to remember—a celebration of their past, present, and the beautiful journey that lies ahead.

Chelsea and David, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for sharing this special day with me. It was an honor to celebrate by your side!
