A Buckingham Fountain Proposal

Grant is from the Chicago area and Ashley went to law school there, so naturally, it’s a fun place for both to go back and visit. Since she used to live downtown, Ashley loves Buckingham fountain and always wants to stop by when they’re in town. Grant knows this and knew if he merely suggested the bean, she would request going to the fountain since they were already so close.

His plan worked perfectly and when they got to the fountain, Grant proposed while Ashley’s twin sister, Ang, took photos of the proposal and around Grant Park. Then, they got to celebrate with Grant’s family who she hadn’t gotten to meet in-person yet. 

It had been a last minute decision to bring the ring on this trip because he was going to propose when they got back. He decided to bring it anyways and she was so surprised since she was sure he’d wait until a hike they were planning 3 weeks later (she said he doesn’t usually make plans that far in advance). 

I’m so glad the ring made it through airport security without being discovered by Ashley and that the proposal got to be a surprise!
