A Beautiful Arizona Golf Course Wedding
Kerri and Sam met through one of Kerri’s bridesmaids after she decided to move to Arizona. She became really good friends with Sam and always thought he’d be the perfect match for her best friend. Sam decided to go back to her hometown with her and visit Chicago, where he finally met Kerri. They bonded over their mutual love of baseball and he eventually asked her to be his girlfriend during a baseball game at Wriggly Field.
The duo dated long distance for a year and a half and when Kerri moved to Florida to pursue her masters in occupational therapy, Sam moved there too.
They spent their second anniversary on Santabell Island and loved it so much they decided to go back at 3.5 years as well. Sam brought Kerri to the best place to watch the sunset on the island and dropped down on one knee – there was even a photographer hiding nearby snapping photos (nice touch, Sam). Of course, Kerri said yes!
Once she graduated, they decided to move back to Arizona together to be closer to family. It was here that Sam and his friends found their passion for golfing and knew Gainey Ranch Golf Club would be the perfect place to host their wedding.
When the special day finally came, it embodied Kerri and Sam so perfectly. Kerri shared an exciting first look with her bridesmaids, filled with happy tears as they were all so giddy for this day to come, then a special private first look with Sam.
The ceremony shared sweeping views of the golf course and gorgeous mountains behind them, while the sun worked its glowy magic. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed themselves throughout the day – Sam and his groomsmen even got to hit a few golf balls, and Kerri enjoyed herself on the dance floor all night.
Each detail was executed perfectly from their custom cocktails (Cubby Cooler vs. Snake Juice for these rival baseball fans) to their vintage rotary phone recording personalized voicemails from each guest, so many wonderful memories were made.
Kerri and Sam, I’m so excited for the two of you and the journey ahead. Your happiness is contagious and it was so clear to see how loved and adored you were by all who celebrated with you. Congratulations again! Now, go enjoy Costa Rica.
