Jewel Tones Engagement Session

So, how did you pop the question? That is one of my favorite things to ask couples I am getting to know because it gives you a little peek into their lives. Every proposal is so personal to the two people involved and tells a little bit about their unique story and memory so near and dear to their hearts that they will remember that moment forever. Sometimes couples each have their own version of the story and they will rival one another with the different details they remember, making it fun to hear, but also so fun for them to relive. When I asked Tore how he proposed to Kendall, I got to hear first hand how he planned the proposal and what really happened, meanwhile Kendall added what she was thinking throughout the whole thing.

This past winter, they were having a gift exchange (kind of like a white elephant) and Tore rigged the game so that Kendall would have to get the very last gift. When she opened the box, it was a game of Bingo and she was so confused why everyone was looking at her expectantly. That’s when Tore started to get nervous. Did her aunts forget to put the ring in there? It was supposed to be sitting right on top! After a little exploring, they found the tape holding the ring on top of the game had fallen and the ring had slipped down into the box. I’m so glad it wasn’t lost because, boy, it’s a stunner, and I’m even happier Kendall said YES!

Kendall and Tore are contagiously happy to be around. They are so excited to be with each other and it is clear that they don’t take all these little moments for granted. The permanent smiles on their faces and their constant playful teasing makes it a joy to be around them, and I can’t wait to celebrate them and their love at their wedding next month!
