Romantic Fireside Wedding

Jan 14, 2018

I can’t think of any other way I would have rather started 2019 than Jenna and Daniel’s beautiful Villa Siena wedding. Before Jenna walked down the aisle with the bouquet every little girl dreams of, she sent Daniel a little gift to his suite. Something small and simple, but showing her sense of humor and heart of gold – a pair of fuzzy socks in case he got cold feet. My favorite part? He wore them all day long.

As the music started, their nearest and dearest began down the aisle. Daniel’s brothers and grandparents, Jenna’s best friends and even her pup got to be a part of their entrance. When the audience stood and turned, there in the doorway was the most stunning bride holding onto the arm of her father. As they made their way up the aisle, I’m pretty sure I saw a happy tear or two from their families and after shaking Daniel’s hand, Rob gave his daughter a hug that said everything. Their ceremony was centered around God, filled with prayer and His blessing on their union. Jenna and Daniel sealed the deal with a kiss, right in front of a blazing fireplace on that brisk afternoon.

Before the ceremony, Jenna’s dad placed a string of pearls around his wife’s neck and fastened the back for her. This was the very necklace he gave to her 28 years ago on their wedding day. After hearing this story and watching the way Rob and Jean interacted all night with big smiles on their faces, it is pretty clear Jenna and Daniel have amazing role models to look up to. Daniel’s parents, Larry and Melissa, also set an example of a fun, happy marriage. They were on the dance floor together all night, holding each other tight and celebrating with their family. Jenna and Daniel’s parents might be the most happy to welcome a new in-law to their family that I have ever seen. When I asked Jenna’s mom how she felt, she said “Just so happy. We couldn’t have asked for a better man or family for her to be marrying.”

The party was just beginning when they entered into the reception room as husband and wife. Jenna and Daniel had one of the most amazing dance floors I have ever gotten to be a part of. With their parents, friends and grandparents on their feet all night, it was so much fun to capture. My favorite moment from the reception, though, might just be their ‘doughnut cutting’. My heart beats for fun cake alternatives and their doughnut cake is one of the more delicious alternatives I’ve witnessed. Instead of cake, they sweetly fed each other doughnut holes right next to their sign ‘love is sweet, take a treat’ sign.

Jenna and Daniel, thank you for allowing me to be a part of what I hope is one of the best days of your lives. Like Rob said in his toast, the two of you are a match made in heaven. Have a blast in the Caribbean and always remember to hold each other tight. Congrats, again.
