Golden Cave Creek Desert Engagement Session
Some sessions just flow, and Lisa & Brian’s engagement session in Cave Creek was one of those from the very start.
We met up at one of my all-time favorite spots in Cave Creek, a location that perfectly captures everything people picture when they think “Arizona desert.” Since so many of their wedding guests will be traveling in from out of town, Lisa & Brian wanted their engagement photos to really showcase the landscape everyone will get to experience when they’re here. Think glowing light, wide open views, saguaros for days, and that warm, earthy desert color palette that never gets old.
And then there was Millie, their five-month-old puppy, absolute star of the show. Not only is she ridiculously cute, but she also modeled like an angel, sitting patiently and looking at the camera.
Lisa & Brian’s story is just as sweet as they are. They met at Creighton University in Nebraska, where they were both in grad school. After Lisa graduated, she made the move to Arizona, where she had spent her vacations over the years. Brian followed a year later after finishing school, and the rest is history.
Fast forward to their engagement in Ireland (yes, Ireland 😭). Brian proposed at the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, one of the most iconic and breathtaking spots, basically straight out of a movie. Romantic, adventurous, and very them.
By the end of their session, it felt less like a photoshoot and more like hanging out with friends. We laughed, talked golf, obsessed over Millie, and soaked in the sunset. These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I love what I do so much: real connection, real joy, and getting to tell love stories in beautiful places.
Lisa and Brian, I already know your wedding day is going to be something special, and I truly can’t wait to celebrate with you again soon.
