Romantic Fall Wedding in Chandler, AZ
Lauren and Steven knew they wanted a wedding that felt intentional in every way. When they pictured their day, they imagined thoughtful details, meaningful traditions, and a celebration that looked and felt like them. Their wedding at Ocotillo Golf Club was exactly that. Every moment felt handpicked and heartfelt, from the private vows to the party on the dance floor.
Lauren and Steven were most excited to see all of their decisions come together. Every folded napkin and every piece of signage was chosen with care. Ocotillo was the perfect backdrop for that vision. They loved the pockets of greenery and how each space felt hidden. Guests could move from one part of the day to the next and feel surprised every time.
Their ceremony honored tradition while staying deeply personal. They included a ring warming ceremony, inviting their closest family to hold and bless the rings before they exchanged them. Since they are a private couple, they chose to share emotional handwritten vows during their first look and kept the words between the two of them.
The beer burro became the most unforgettable surprise. Lauren and Steven said it was the best thing they had ever seen and knew guests would never expect a donkey at their wedding. It greeted everyone on their way to the ceremony and immediately set a playful tone for the celebration.
The theme of the day was “Timeless” with soft fall inspiration. Lauren wanted to avoid anything overly trendy and instead chose colors and textures that would feel elegant for years to come. Dinner was set as a candlelit gathering with rich rust orange woven into the design. Her florals followed the same idea. She grew up around flowers and loves texture, so the arrangements were filled with layers of whites and subtle color without overwhelming her dress.
The color palette of navy blue and rust orange suited the season beautifully. Steven and the groomsmen wore navy, which also became their meaningful “something blue.” Two other sentimental touches stood out. Steven wore his great grandpa’s wedding band. Lauren wore a borrowed ring on her right hand that her dad once gifted her mom. Those details brought their families and the past into their present moment.
Their signature drinks reflected both personality and place. Steven chose an old fashioned since whiskey is his favorite. Lauren chose a prickly pear margarita to give their many out of state guests a taste of Arizona. The dessert was another nod to family. Lauren comes from a large Italian family, so a cookie bar was a must. At the reception, a table was filled with Italian cookies for everyone to enjoy.
Lauren and Steven’s wedding was a perfect blend of tradition, fall warmth, and personal meaning. Every decision felt thoughtful. Every element told part of their story. It was a day that looked and felt so beautiful.
Lauren and Steven, thank you for inviting me into such an intentional and meaningful day. Every detail spoke to who you are as a couple and it was an honor to document it all.
