A Traditional Christian Orthodox Wedding at St. George

Erin & AB’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of tradition, culture, and heartfelt moments. They exchanged vows in a traditional Christian Orthodox ceremony at St. George, a deeply meaningful experience centered on their love and commitment. From the moment the day began, it was clear that every element was thoughtfully chosen to reflect both of their backgrounds and the incredible journey they’ve shared together.
One of the sweetest moments of the day was their first touch. Rather than doing a first look, Erin and AB chose to share a quiet moment together before the ceremony—talking about their morning and soaking in the excitement of the day—without actually seeing each other. They were both most excited for the moment Erin would walk down the aisle, and this anticipation made their ceremony even more special.
After saying “I do,” we made our way to the Arizona desert for bride and groom portraits. Against the soft, golden landscape, Erin’s elegant white bouquet, featuring cabbage roses and eucalyptus, popped beautifully against her classic gown. Their black, white, and olive green color palette complemented the natural scenery perfectly, making for romantic portraits before heading to their reception.
Their celebration continued at a private home nestled in the middle of orange orchards, where friends and family gathered to honor Erin & AB’s love. As they made their grand entrance, the energy was electric, and the night kicked off with a traditional Arabic circle dance, bringing everyone together in celebration.
For Erin & AB, honoring both of their cultures was a priority. As Erin shared, “My fiancé and I come from different cultures, so celebrating both was very important to us. It was really important for us to invite the people who have supported us along our journey and to invite them to celebrate with us on one of the most exciting days of our lives!” Surrounded by love, laughter, and the people who mean the most to them, their wedding day was truly a reflection of who they are as a couple.
Erin also carried meaningful details with her throughout the day—her mother’s garter as her “something old” and a memorial piece with a blue gem on her bouquet in honor of her dad, serving as her “something blue.” These personal touches made an already beautiful day even more special.
Erin & AB, thank you for allowing me to be part of your day. The love and joy that surrounds you is truly special, and it was an honor to capture those moments. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!
