A Timeless Fall Wedding In Scottsdale, Arizona
Layne and Ben’s love story unfolded against the stunning backdrop of Camelback Mountain at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort. The choice of venue held sentimental value for the couple, as it not only showcased the breathtaking scenery they adored but also served as the same location where Layne’s parents had celebrated their wedding after party.
Despite a storm the night before, the wedding day weather was perfect. When I arrived, I found Layne and her bridesmaids immersed in the excitement of the day, laughing and listening to music while getting their hair and makeup done. With the help of her mom and sisters, Layne slipped into her satin wedding dress, anticipating the first look with Ben.
The magic of that moment when Ben turned around, seeing Layne in all her beauty, was clear. His face lit up with an enormous grin as he grabbed her hands and pulled her in for a kiss. The ceremony that followed, officiated by Ben’s father, was a perfect blend of Christian values and personalized touches that reflected their relationship. Choosing traditional vows, they opted to write personal letters to each other before the ceremony.
An emotional detail at the ceremony was the reserved seat in memory of Layne’s father, adorned with one of his cowboy hats—a touching tribute to his presence on this special day. The bridal party, dressed in elegant olive green dresses and black tuxedos, added a timeless touch to the ceremony.
After the newlyweds walked back up the aisle, husband and wife, and captured some stunning portraits, the reception unfolded in a warm and cozy ambiance. Natural colors and an abundance of candles created an intimate glow, while the decor was classic and timeless. The florals, a combination of greenery and white with accents of toffee, rust, peach, and oranges, embraced the fall theme without compromising the classic feel.
The reception featured a spicy margarita and four peaks kilt lifter as signature drinks. Dessert included both a cake and a much-anticipated donut cart. The grand entrance led seamlessly into their first dance, followed by heartfelt dances with their moms and the classic cake-cutting ceremony. As the party unfolded, glow sticks illuminated the dance floor, turning the night into an unforgettable celebration.
