A Desert Glam Arizona Wedding
Angel and Amanda’s wedding day at The Paseo in Mesa, Arizona was a vibrant testament of their love and adventurous spirits. With a captivating “desert glam” theme, the couple embarked on their married journey amidst the awe-inspiring mountains, which not only added beauty but also represented the beginning of their married life together.
“We really wanted the mountains to play a big role in the theme and overall environment, both because they are stunning and also because they represent the place where we are starting married life together!” Angel and Amanda shared their inspiration behind choosing The Paseo as their wedding venue. The picturesque desert landscape served as a breathtaking backdrop for their special day, adding an ethereal touch to the entire celebration.
Before the ceremony, Angel and Amanda shared a tender moment with a first touch. Holding hands, their hearts filled with anticipation and excitement, they connected emotionally, sharing a quiet moment to cherish the significance of their union before exchanging vows.
Their “love-centric” ceremony was a reflection of their deep connection and shared values. Each chose a reading that resonated with their understanding of love, expressing the profound meaning it held in their lives and the promises they made to each other.
But it didn’t stop there—Angel and Amanda eagerly embraced Angel’s Bulgarian heritage, infusing their day with beloved traditions and playful customs. Angel’s mom lovingly fed them bread and honey during the grand entrance, symbolizing Amanda’s warm welcome into the family.
Then came the spirited “menche” tradition. Amanda kicked a small bucket filled with water, a white flower, and a red flower. The distance the flowers landed predicted the sex of their first child, adding an extra element of excitement and anticipation to the day.
The festivities continued with a lively bread-pulling game. Angel and Amanda stood back-to-back, tugging on a loaf of bread. The one who ended up with the largest chunk would “wear the pants” in the relationship. Much to everyone’s delight, Amanda emerged victorious, resulting in playful banter and lots of cheering from the bridal party.
And how could they forget the Horo dance? Guests joined hands in a spirited Bulgarian circle dance, swaying, spinning, and stepping to the lively music.
But the real highlight was the dance floor celebration. Angel and Amanda were ecstatic to see all their loved ones come together, ready to dance the night away. Laughter, smiles, and an abundance of love filled the air as friends and family joined in the celebration. “We are both so excited for all the people we love to be together celebrating on the dance floor!” Angel and Amanda’s anticipation became a reality.
