About Secret Garden

Secret Garden Event Center is a gorgeous historic estate that is situated on five acres of land. Built in the late 1920’s, this vintage paradise channels the opulence of the era – southwest style. Imagine guests pulling up a stone driveway to the serene fountains and careful landscaping. Descend a grand 20 foot staircase and walk down to your ceremony on a beautifully manicured lawn where you will say your “I do’s” beneath a wrought iron pavilion with stone altar. Then dance the night away beneath chandeliers and cathedral ceilings.

The history behind the venue

In the 1920’s, Walter Strong purchased 300 acres at the base of South Mountain, in Phoenix, Arizona where he built a dream home for his wide, Blythe. The Strong’s were heavily involved in their community and hosted their own private events on the grounds over the years they inhabited the property.

Now, couples get to enjoy a blend of historic and modern where old character is combined with modern updates and comforts.

Reception & Ceremony Accomodations

The Manor House

The Walter Strong Manor House is the prize of the estate. Couples and their bridal parties can enjoy exclusive access to the getting ready suites. Century-old hand stamped tiles can be found in the interior of the historical home.

The Grand Lawn

Your ceremony would take place on Secret Garden’s lawn, featuring a gazebo shaded under a giant old Mesquite Tree. A balcony and 20-foot staircase overlooks a beautiful manicured lawn (where you would enter to walk down the aisle). This area can accommodate up to 300 guests for wedding ceremonies. 

The Pavilion

The grand pavilion is ideal for dancing and relaxing during your reception. Large iron chandeliers grace the cathedral ceiling, the panoramic views enhanced by double french doors that invite the outside in. The beautiful courtyard can also be enjoyed by guests. This indoor reception hall can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Outdoor Receptions

The brick path from the ceremony space leads to a secluded garden, ideal for an outside reception with space for up to 400.

Pricing & Collections

The all-inclusive rental fee to get married at Secret Garden Event Center ranges from $13,400 to $28,900 for a ceremony and reception and includes 8 hours of rental time including set up and clean up time. Additional hours can be arranged for a fee of $300/hr.

Packages may include a 5 star caterer, choice of buffet or plated menu, passed hors d’oeuvres, cake, professional servers, bar support, and equipment rentals.
