Easter Wedding in the Desert

Jun 7, 2022

Christina and Jamie met at a medical office where they worked before she went back to school to get her master’s degree. Jamie is a physical therapist and when they met, there was an instant connection. They even told me that they planned their second date before they even went on their first.

For Christmas of 2020, they decided to spend the holiday together in Park City. Jamie planned the whole itinerary and had so many fun things for them to do. Christina caught a peek at his list and saw “surprise” listed on one of the days, so she had an inkling he was going to propose, but the surprise was bobsledding! She began to think she may have read into it, but Jamie still had something up his sleeve. He scheduled a photoshoot because she had been disappointed they didn’t send out a Christmas card and here he proposed on Christmas eve as they overlooked a lake with a dusting of snow on the ground. Even sweeter, Jamie had remembered a ring Christina had shown him and he had a similar one designed for her.

The focus of Christina & Jamie’s wedding day was togetherness. They were so excited to be surrounded by the people that were nearest and dearest to them (including cooper and Finley, their dogs). They worked hard to make every element feel personal, even down to their officiant who was the boss and good friend that hired both of them.

The ceremony was beautiful, overlooking the Superstition Mountains and Christina and Jamie exchanged personalized vows. They had chosen the venue to show off the beauty of the desert in the springtime and the desert worked its magic.

The ceremony was followed by a romantic reception inside The Paseo. The decor featured a balance of rustic and modern, with gold accents including gold bunnies on each of the tables, a nod to the Easter date. After the grand entrance and dinner came an element of the day the couple was most looking forward to – the toasts. Each speaker poured love out of their hearts for Christina and Jamie and it’s so clear how admired they are by all who know them.

When the dance floor opened up, guests couldn’t wait to celebrate with the happy couple. They danced all night and cheered on Christina and Jamie in their new lives together.

Christina and Jamie, I am so excited for you. You are both so fun and adventurous, I’m looking forward to seeing the many adventures lying ahead for you. Congratulations again on your special day. It was so fun to be by your side and get to see your dream day come to life!
