Elegant Orange Tree Golf Resort Wedding

Mar 15, 2022

When Mark asked Erin out for drinks after they matched on Bumble, she broke her rule of not meeting up right away and gave him a chance. They met at the Whining Pig and instantly hit it off. Things moved quickly after that special first date. Two months later, Mark’s condo flooded and Erin invited him to stay with her. Once the condo was fixed, Erin’s lease was up and so Mark invited her to move in with him.

On December 11, 2020, Mark proposed. The couple was supposed to meet their families for a happy hour, but due to a COVID scare, the happy hour got moved to Zoom. Initially, Erin was disappointed because she had a suspicion of what was going to happen, but when she logged onto Zoom and saw so many people she loved – her aunts, uncles, and girlfriends from all over the country – she got emotional. Mark pulled off the perfect 2020 Zoom proposal when he got down on one knee and still had all her loved ones watching.

Once they were engaged, Erin and Mark began planning their wedding and quickly realized the amount of work that they’d be putting in. They were referred to their planner, Justine, and she could not have done a better job bringing their vision to life.

Their wedding day was filled with rich Jewish tradition and beautiful personal touches. First and foremost came the first looks – two! One was shared with Erin’s dad, and the other with Mark. Both guys were floored with how gorgeous Erin was, dawning the same purse her mom wore at her wedding and a beautiful waterfall orchid bouquet.

Following, Erin and Mark were married under the gorgeous chuppah, designed by Copper and Bloom. Their parents stood under with them, symbolizing the support they will give throughout their marriage. The officiant (and Mark’s cousin) recited the 7 blessings and Mark and Erin exchanged rings. Once the glass was broken, “Mazel Tov” rang through the lawn and the new Mr. and Mrs. shared their first married kiss.

The reception that followed was equally perfect. Erin and Mark chose Orange Tree Golf Resort for their party because the reception space “felt most right for our wedding to have the celebration it deserves”. The band, Sapphire Sky, was certainly a wow factor and kept guests dancing all night long. The events throughout the evening were especially important to them. The father-daughter dance was something Erin had been looking forward to since childhood. She said, “Something that I have looked forward to since I was a little girl was to have my dad not only walk me down the aisle with my Mom…but the Father / Daughter dance.” It’s safe to say their romantic dinner party did not disappoint.

Erin and Mark, I’m so glad we were able to make such special memories. It was so fun to watch your wedding dreams come true and the two of you fall even deeper in love. Thank you for sharing these memories with me. I wish you all the happiness in the world as you start your new married life!
