A Downtown Mesa Wedding

Dec 7, 2021

Early in the day, there had been too many special moments to count – Gabby’s emotional first look with her dad, Pete’s sister (and officiant) dabbing the tears from his eyes as Gabby walked up the aisle, the couple’s dance back down the aisle and the million special memories in between. But my favorite part of the day was Gabby & Pete’s first touch.

Since they didn’t want to see one another before the ceremony, the couple decided to pass each other a love note before they walked down the aisle. They stood on opposite sides of a wall from each other, held hands, and whispered back and forth. There were happy tears and lots of laughs in those few short minutes, but it was clear how genuinely happy they were to be with one another.

After the beautiful ceremony, we walked around downtown Mesa taking fun bridal portraits of Gabby & Pete. I genuinely believe their personalities shine through each one.

At the end of the night, each guest grabbed their coats, took a churro cupcake for the road and headed out for the night with smiles, meanwhile Gabby & Pete held each other tight on the dance floor and swayed back and forth for one last dance alone in their gorgeous wedding venue. They soaked it all in one last time as they spun each other around. It was a unique and perfect ending to the perfect wedding day.

Thank you for sharing such a special celebration with me, Gabby & Pete. I know you’ll take pride in knowing that you’re two of the most awesome people I have ever gotten to work with and definitely one of the all-time funniest couples. I loved spending your special day with you!
