A Glamorous Halloween Wedding

Dec 1, 2020

Kalie stepped out of the dressing room in a champagne gown, embroidered bodice, with a big, ruffled skirt and was speechless. The only thing she could muster was to mumble “uh-huh” over and over. She had tried on her perfect wedding dress by accident and instantly knew it was the one.

The bride-to-be is an expert in wedding dresses and works at Brilliant Bridal, one of the best wedding gown boutiques in the valley. She was trying on new dresses so they could take pictures and log them into the system. She thought she knew what she wanted for her own wedding and had never really looked at this style before. She didn’t expect to like it, but as soon as she looked in the mirror, she knew this gown was made for her.

Fast forward to her October wedding day and that perfect gown was hanging on a ‘brilliant babe’ hanger just waiting to be shown off. Her accessories included custom earrings from Desert Duo Creations, made exclusively for Kalie, as well as a gorgeous heirloom necklace made from her grandmother’s earrings – one for her, and one for her cousin. She also dawned the most gorgeous sequin purse that her mother-in-law-to-be had once used at her wedding 42 years ago.

To say Mike was ecstatic seeing Kalie for the first time during their first look would be an understatement. He wore a smile from ear to ear that would come back each time he looked at his bride throughout the day. He said he knew she would be gorgeous, but couldn’t have anticipated just how gorgeous she was.

Their personal ceremony brought tears to every guest’s eyes before it even started, including Kalie’s brother, who was their officiant. He had to take a couple of pauses throughout the ceremony to take in just how happy he was that his sister found someone so perfect for her, but also because he was so excited to gain Mike as a brother. The couple read their hand-written vows without a dry eye in the audience. When Kalie and Mike were pronounced as husband and wife, gold glitter exploded around them and they celebrated their way back up the aisle as their favorite band came through the speakers.

Their Halloween-night celebration kicked off with the duo’s favorite date-night meal from Mike’s home town – Portillo’s! Kalie & Mike toasted their hot dogs and afterward, danced the night away. All of Kalie’s Brilliant Bridal co-workers helped them fill the dance floor and they even getting serenaded to ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ by Mike’s groomsmen.

Kalie & Mike, your wedding was so enjoyable, personal, and straight-up fun, just like the two of you. I hope you both have a blast celebrating in Las Vegas!
